The pre-Reformation church pertained to the parsonage of Kinkell and was dedicated to St Hilary. Ministry began in 1563 in the person of George Rothmie, reader. From at least 1976 the session was within the jurisdiction of Gordon Presbytery, before which time it was within the jurisdiction of Strathbogie and Fordyce Presbytery from at least 1955. Prior to that date the session was within the jurisdiction of Strathbogie Presbytery. On 9 November 1930 the session united with the United Free Church session of Drumblade South. On 21 September 1975 the session linked with Huntly Strathbogie kirk session. |
