In 1618 the parish of Daviot and that of Dunlichity were united together. After the union each retained its own church, with public worship held alternately every Sunday, but only at Dunlichity Church during the winter when the weather permitted. In 1759 Dunlichity church was rebuilt as was the Daviot church a number of years later in 1826. In 1970 Daviot and Dunlichity established a link with Moy, Dalarossie and Tomatin. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Inverness. |
