The pre-Reformation church was appropriated to St Giles, Edinburgh. Ministry began in 1569 in the person of John Lennox, reader. In 1652 Dron, Kirkpottie and Ecclesmoghridain (Exmagirdle) were united. Throughout its existence the session was within the jurisdiction of Perth presbytery. On 1 January 1955 the session linked with Abernethy with that link being terminated on 3 May 1970 to permit a union on the same date with Abernethy. |
