Fauldhouse was erected as an independent parish in 1872 when it was disjoined from Whitburn by the Court of Teinds, a church had been built here a number of years prior in 1867. A new parish church was later dedicated in 1935 after the old parish church of Fauldhouse was destroyed by fire in 1930. In 1973 Fauldhouse united with the former United Free Church congregation of Fauldhouse Crofthead, under the name of Fauldhouse St Andrews. The united congregation established a link on the same date with Longridge and Breich however this arrangement was terminated in 1985. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Linlithgow, later of Livingston and Bathgate and following the restructuring of the presbyteries in 1976, it became part of the Presbytery of West Lothian. |
