Rothesay Gaelic Chapel was built in 1836 as a mission chapel for Gaelic Services within the Parish of Rothesay. In 1843, at the time of the Disruption, the minister of the Gaelic church and the entire congregation chose to adhere to the Free church and as a consequence the building came into the possession of the Free church from this time until 1859. The Kirk Session sat within the Presbytery of Dunoon. |
