The church of Redgorton, which anciently belonged to the Abbey of Scone, was dedicated to St Colin and also has a later dedication to St Mary. In 1614 the old parishes of Luncarty and Pitcairn were united to Redgorton, continuing after the union under the name of Redgorton. In 1941, following the union of the Church of Scotland and the United Free Church in 1929, the Parish Church of Redgorton formed a further union with the former United Free Church congregation of Luncarty and in 1981 a link was established with the Parish of Stanley. Redgorton Kirk Session sits within the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Perth. |
