West Kilbride parish church belonged to the Abbey of Kilwinning prior to the reformation and the old church was rebuilt in 1873. In 1974 West Kilbride Parish Church, later known as West Kilbride Barony, formed a union with the former united Free Church congregation of West Kilbride St Bride's, under the name of West Kilbride St Andrew's. The Kirk Session sat within the Presbytery of Irvine and later of Ardrossan. |
