Langside Old Church, Glasgow, began in temporary premises in 1876. The church, at Langside Monument, was built ten years later and the parish was disjoined from the Cathedral (as Langside Parish Church) in 1901. It was terminated in 1975 on uniting with Battlefield Erskine as Langside and Battlefield Erskine, and the church was destroyed by fire in 1981. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
