The church of New Cumnock, Ayrshire, served a parish which was disjoined from Cumnock in 1650, reunited with it in 1667, and once more disjoined in 1691. It was first built in 1659 and rebuilt in 1832. The charge is in Ayr presbytery and was in the synod of Glasgow and Ayr until the reorganisation of 1929, thereafter in the synod of Ayr. Synods were abolished in 1993. |
