The Kirk Session of Edinburgh St Bride's first began in 1880 as a mission within the Dalry district of the parish West Coates. A hall was built in 1898 to serve this mission, which later became the St Bride's church hall upon the erected of St Bride's church in 1909. St Bride's served as a chapel of ease until 1923 when it was erected as a parish quoad sacra and the session later went on to form a union with Edinburgh Dalry-Haymarket, under the name of Edinburgh St Colm's. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Edinburgh. |
