The church of Fisherton, Ayrshire, began as a mission around 1820. The chapel became a separate parish by disjunction from Maybole in 1862. The charge is now linked with Maybole West, is in Ayr presbytery and was in the synod of Glasgow and Ayr until the reorganisation of 1929, thereafter in the synod of Ayr. Synods were abolished in 1993. |
