The old church of Bracadale, which was dedicated to St Malrubh, was rebuilt in 1831. Ministry of the session is recorded from 1614 in the person of John McColgan. Within the Parish of Bracadale there also existed, in addition to the parish church, a mission chapel at Carbost. In 1998 Bracadale united with Duirinish to form the session of Bracadale and Duirinish. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Skye, until the restructuring of the presbyteries in 1976, when it became part of the Presbytery of Lochcarron-Skye. |
