Prior to the Reformation, Croy was a prebend of the Cathedral of Elgin and its church was dedicated to St Duthac. Ministry began in 1560 in the person of Rorie MacKenzie, parson. From at least 1976 the session was within the jurisdiction of Inverness Presbytery, before which time it was within the jurisdiction of Nairn Presbytery. On 14 July 1618 the session united with Dalcross. The session further united on 4 February 1934 with the United Free Church session of Croy West. On 5 January 1967 the session linked with Cawdor. |
