The Kirk Session of Hamilton St John's, whose records commence in 1836, was erected as a quoad sacra parish. In 1843, at the disruption, William Buchan, minister at St John's, and his congregation adhered to the Free Church. The session sits within the Presbytery of Hamilton. |
