Archival history |
Craigie, Ayrshire, was a medieval parish with a vicarage appropriated to Paisley Abbey. At some date after 1578 it was united with Riccarton, but was severed again in 1848. The church was rebuilt in 1776. The charge is in Ayr presbytery and is now linked with Symington. Until the reorganisation of 1929 it was in the synod of Glasgow and Ayr, thereafter in that of Ayr until the abolition of synods in 1993. |
