The Presbytery of Dunblane was separated from the Presbytery of Stirling in 1586. The two distinct presbyteries were to be part of a new Synod of Dunblane. Two years later they became part of the Synod of Perth. The Presbyteries of Stirling and Dunblane were later united and after 1975 the Presbytery was known as the Presbytery of Stirling. |
