The early history of this session is unclear. Initially within the jurisdiction of Biggar Presbytery, this had changed by at least 1955 from which time it was within the jurisdiction of Lanark Presbytery. On 11 October 1964 the session formed a link with Libberton and Quothqan which was terminated on 30 November 1972 to permit a new linking arrangement with Carmichael and Pettinain. |
