The church of Duthil was dedicated to St Peter and in its early days was a prebend of Elgin Cathedral. Ministry of the session is recorded from 1574 in the person of William Simson, reader. In 1960 the church, having collapsed, was rebuilt by the Laird of Grant and the present day building was later erected in 1826. In 1930 Duthil was united with Carrbridge, remaining under the name of Duthil, and in 1969 a link was formed with Boat of Garten and Kincardine. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Abernethy. |
