By charter of 25 July 1378, Robert II annexed Coldingham Priory to Dunfermline Abbey, although this did not take place until 1487. The church was under the joint invocation of St Mary, St Cuthbert and St Ebba. Ministry began in 1567 in the perosn of William Lamb, minister. For the majority of it existence the session was within the jurisdiction of Chirnside Presbytery, but by 1976 was within the jurisdiction of Duns Presbytery. On 6 October 1940 the session united with the United Free Church session of St Andrew's, Coldingham, once again taking the name of Coldingham. Coldingham manse was sold in 1973 and a new manse built. On 1 January 1965 the session linked with St Abb's and was further linked with Eyemouth on 1 July 1987. Coldingham and St Abb's united on 3 December 1999. |
