Kirkintilloch St David?s Church, Dunbartonshire, in the Ledgate near East High Street, began in 1836 as a chapel of ease. In 1843 both minister and congregation left the Church of Scotland. In 1851 it recommenced as a mission station and in 1873 was disjoined from Kirkintilloch as a separate quoad sacra parish. In 1961 it terminated on uniting with Kirkintilloch St Andrew?s as Kirkintilloch St David?s and St Andrew?s. It was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
