Originally a chapelry of Oldhamstocks, which with Abbey St Bathans and part of Coldingham, embraced the entire area of the parish prior to the Reformation. Ministry began in 1567 in the person of John Wallace, exhorter. For much of its existence the session was within the jurisdiction of Dunbar Presbytery, but since at least 1976 it was within the jurisdiction of Haddington and Dunbar Presbytery. The session was united with Aldcambus by the Lords Commisioners of teinds before 20 May 1610. On 28 November 1937 the session united with St John's United Free Church Session, after which time the manse was sold and the church used as a church hall. In 1947 the session linked with Oldhamstocks. |
