The parish church of Gask, or Findo-Gask, was dedicated to St Findoch and formerly belonged to the Abbey of Inchaffray. Ministry of the session is recorded from 1564 in the person of William Drummond. The church of Gask was rebuilt in 1800. In 1961 the parish of Aberuthven was linked with Gask however this arrangement was later terminated in 1978 in favour of a link with Methven. Following the union of Methven and Logiealmond in 1995 the link with Gask continued. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Auchterarder, until the restructuring of the presbyteries in 1976, when it became part of the Presbytery of Perth. |
