The old parish church of Crimond, which was either built or repaired in 1576, was replaced by a new building in 1812. The parish, which was formerly a prebend of Aberdeen, has recorded ministry from 1567 in the person of George Nesbit, reader. In 1959 Crimond formed a link with St Fergus under the ministry of Rev. D.A. Duncan, minister at St Fergus. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Deer until the restructuring of the Presbyteries in 1976 when it became part of the Presbytery of Buchan. |
