The church of Cranshaws, which was dedicated to St Ninian, was rebuilt in 1739 and later restored in 1900. In 1927 Cranshaws was united by the General Assembly with the parish of Abbey St Bathans, under the name of Abbey St Bathans and Cranshaws. The united parish was later linked with Longformacus in 1973 and in 1983 a further union was established with Langton and Polwath to form the session of Kirk of Lammermuir. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Duns. |
