The Kirk Session of Perth: St Paul's was established following the annexation in 1806 of three parochial districts from the Parish of Perth: St John's by the town Council. Perth was experiencing problems concerning lack of space for public worship and it was agreed as part of the resolution to build a new church and establish an additional parish, namely that of St Paul's, which was erected in 1807. The Kirk Session, which sat within the Presbytery of Perth, was dissolved on the 14th June 1988. |
