Prior to the reformation the Church of Kinfauns belonged to the Abbey of Scone. Ministry of the session is recorded from 1568 in the person of William Edmistoun. The parish church of Kinfauns was rebuilt in 1870. In 1955 Kinfauns was linked with the parish of Kilspindie and Rait and a further link was formed with St Madoes in 1982. The link with St Madoes was later dissolved in favour of a union between the two parishes in 1989, under the name of St Madoes and Kinfauns. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Perth. |
