The church of Kilspindie was dedicated to St Pensandus and formerly belonged to the Abbey of Scone. Kilspindie was united with the parish of Rait, which was dedicated to St Peter, and also formerly belonged to Scone Abbey. The exact date of the union is not known however it was at a time prior to 1634. The old Rait parish church was disused following the union and Kilspindie Church was rebuilt in around 1815. In 1955 Kilspindie and Rait linked with the parish of Kinfauns and a further link was established in 1980 with Errol. The session sits within the Presbytery of Perth. |
