Carmunnock Church, Lanarkshire, was a medieval parish appropriated to Paisley Abbey. After the Reformation it was briefly in the presbytery of Hamilton, but from 1596 in that of Glasgow, and in the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). The church, in Kirk Road, Carmunnock, was rebuilt in 1767 and repaired and altered in 1838. |
