The parish of Milngavie was erected as a chapel of ease in 1840 and the parish itself was disjoined quoad sacra from New Kilpatrick a number of years later in 1873. Milngavie Kirk Session became known as Milngavie St Paul's in later years. A new parish church was built in 1906 and the old church, erected in 1840, was converted for use as church halls in 1925. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Dumbarton. |
