In 1824 the General Kirk Session of Dundee started a collection to build a church at Broughty Ferry. Broughty Ferry Parish church opened in 1826 and was constituted a chapel of ease in 1827. In 1929 at the union of the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland, Broughty Ferry Parish Church was renamed St Aidan's church. |
