Malcolm, Earl of Athole, c. 1153-1189 or 1198, granted to Scone Abbey the church of Logie-Machedd with its dependant chapels of Kilcherni (or, Kilkerny), Dunfalotyn, Kilkassin, Kilmichall (or, Kilmichilde) and Tulemath (or, Tulechmat). The Bishop of Dunkeld disjoined the parish of Caputh from Little Dunkeld c. 1500. Ministry began in 1567 in the person of John Rattray, reader. Initially within the jurisdiction of Dunkeld Presbytery, by the early twentieth century the session was within the jurisdiction of Perth Presbytery. By 1976 the session was within the jurisdiction of Dunkeld and Meigle presbytery. On 11 June 1935 the session united with New Clunie. On 15 November 1950 the session linked with Murthly. The session of Caputh and Clunie was formed on 20 October 1983 by the union of Clunie, Lethendy, Kinloch, Caputh and Murthly. On 1 January 1989 the session further linked with Kinclaven. |
