Parkhead West Church, Glasgow, began as Camlachie Mission, whose minister and congregation came out at the Disruption and later built a church at 1159 Gallowgate (1865). In 1867 it was erected into a parish as Parkhead quoad sacra. In 1965 it terminated on uniting with Parkhead East as Parkhead. As a Church of Scotland charge it was in the presbytery of Glasgow and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr (later Clydesdale). |
