The Synod of Clydesdale was formerly known as the Synod of Glasgow and Ayr and the register of the Synod begins on the 30th August 1687. The Synod originally comprised eight presbyteries, namely: Ayr, Irvine, Paisley, Greenock, Hamilton, Lanark, Dumbarton and Glasgow. |
