The church of Glasford, or Glassford, belonged of old to St Mary's Collegiate Church of Lochwinnoch. The old parish church was rebuilt in 1633, and later in 1820 a more central church was erected at Westquarter. The ruins of the old church still stand in the churchyard at Glasford. Strathaven East was linked with Glasford in 1973. The kirk session sits within the Presbytery of Hamilton. |
