The Presbyterian Church of Ghana was erected through the work of various missionary societies, the first of which arrived in the former Gold Coast in 1828. They were followed later by missionaries from the Church of Scotland. The Presbyterian Church of Ghana became an autonomous church as early as 1926 and it serves mainly in the populated areas of southern Ghana. |
