The church of Craignish, which sat within the Presbytery of Inveraray and now of South Argyll, was dedicated to St Malrudh and the parish was anciently known as Kilmorie and Craignish. The first Presbyterian church was erected in the parish of Craignish in 1689 and ministry of the church began in 1690. The church stood until it was replaced by the present parish church, erected in 1826. Craignish was linked with Kilmartin in 1967, however this arrangement was terminated in 1974 to permit a linking on the same date with Kilninver and Kilmelford. |
