The vicarage of Aberlady was erected a Prebend of Dunkeld Cathedral by Bishop Louden (1452-1476). George Adamson served as reader from 28 July 1574, followed by John Kerr who served as minister from 30 November 1593. Aberlady Kirk Session formed part of the Prebytery of Haddington and Dunbar. At the time of uniting with the United Free Church in 1929 the church hall and Manse of the United Free Church were sold. In 1960 an effigy of the former Countess of Wemyss was moved form the Chancel to the south aisle. The session linked with Gullane on 1 January 1986. |
