The parish of Enzie was disjoined in 1851 from Rathven and Bellie. Following the union of the Church of Scotland and the United Free church in 1929, the Free Church session of Enzie North and the parish church congregation, now named Enzie South, were united together in 1930. Both churches remained in use after the union, however the North Church was later closed in 1946. Rathven was linked with Enzie in 1980 but this arrangement was terminated in 1997 in favour of a link with Buckie South and West. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Fordyce until, by Act of Assembly XXXI 1961, the Presbytery of Fordyce and the Presbytery of Strathbogie were united under the name of the Presbytery of Strathbogie and Fordyce. It presently sits within the presbytery of Moray. |
