Rutherglen Old Church, Lanarkshire, was a medieval parish appropriated to Paisley Abbey. On 30 October 1966 the congregation united with Greenhill under the name of Rutherglen Old and Greenhill. The congregation then united with Summerfield on 25 July 1976 and later with Rutherglen East on 15 January 1981 under the name of Rutherglen Old. In 2014 discussions were held regarding a possible union with the congregation of Rutherglen West and Wardlawhill, but due to local differences of opinion, the decision not to unite was made in October 2014. |
