The church at Portsoy was church was built in 1815 and underwent considerable improvements in 1881. In 1955 a union was formed between the parish church and the United Free Church of Portsoy West, the united session remaining under the name of Portsoy. The parish was once again united with Fordyce in 1972 under the name of Fordyce. The kirk session of Portsoy sat within the Presbytery of Fordyce, later Strathbogie and Fordyce and currently of Buchan. |
