Ministry in Northmavine is first recorded in 1567 when the parish was united to that of Ollaberry. Northmavine parish supported two chapels; St Columba and St Olaf, ans also a mission at Eshaness. Ollaberry parish also supported a mission chapel. In 1929 the charge offially dropped the name of Ollaberry and became Northmavine Church of Scotland, although between 1929 and 1934 the congregation was also known as Hillswick. At this time the parish supported missions at Eshaness; Ollaberry and North Roe; and Sullom. |
