The Kirk Session of Manor was established following the Reformation in1560. Ministers to the parish are recorded from 1565. Following the establishment of presbyteries by the General Assembly in 1581, the Kirk Session of Manor became part of the Presbytery of Peebles. With the restructuring of presbyteries in 1976, it became part of the Presbytery of Melrose and Peebles. In recent years, several changes have been made to the parish: in 1948, it was linked with Lyne, and then in 1951, united with it. From 1984 to 1992, Lyne and Manor were linked with Eddleston with Peebles. |
