The church of Lintrathen belonged to the Priory of Inchmahome and was dedicated to St Medan. It sat in the Presbytery of Meigle and formerly the Synod of Angus and Mearns. Lintrathen linked with its neighbouring parish of Kingoldrum in 1933 and the two parishes united in 1938. The union between Kingoldrum and Lintrathen was severed in 1980 but the two parishes were linked once more in 1994. Also in 1994 Lintrathen and Kingoldrum linked with Glenisla and Kilry. The present Church was built in 1802. |
