The General Assembly proposed to erect the Presbytery of Linlithgow in April 1581 and the record commences on the 12th December 1610. The presbytery sat within the Synod of Lothian and Tweedale. By the early twentieth century the presbytery was entitled the Presbytery of Linlithgow and Falkirk. |
