The Kirk Session of Lilliesleaf was established following the Reformation in 1560. Ministers to the parish are recorded from 1571. Prior to the Reformation the church belonged to the See of Glasgow. Lilliesleaf formed part of the Presbytery of Selkirk until 1929, and part of the Presbytery of Melrose, from 1929 to 1976. With the restructuring of presbyteries in 1976, it became part of the Presbytery of Jedburgh. In 1961, it was linked with Ashkirk, and in 1977 with Bowden. The link with Ashkirk was terminated in 1983, and the link with Bowden in 1994. At that time, it was linked with Ancrum, and in 1999, with Crailing and Eckford |
