The Parishes of Lethendy, which was a prebend belonging to the Chancellor of the Diocese of Dunkeld, and Kinloch (of old Lundeif) were united by the Lords Commissioner of Teinds in 1806. Both churches continued in use until 1929 when the Church of Lethendy fell into a ruinous state. In the same year Lethendy East, a former United Free Church, formed a union with Lethendy and Kinloch. The session later united with Clunie in 1962 under the name of Clunie, Lethendy and Kinloch and a further union followed in 1983 between the united session and Caputh and Murthly to form Caputh and Clunie Kirk Session. Kinclaven was linked with Caputh and Clunie in 1989. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of Dunkeld and later the Presbytery of Meigle. |
