The Parishes of Leochil and Cushnie, both located in Aberdeenshire, were united by the court of Teinds on the 28th June 1795. The church of Leochil was dedicated to St Marnoch and belonged to the priory of Monymusk, Cushnie was dedicated to St Bride. Leochil-Cushnie was united with the congregation of Lynturk in 1953 to form the session of Leochil-Cushnie and Lynturck and the united session was further linked with Tough in 1977. The kirk session sat within in the Presbytery of Alford until Act of Assembly XXII, 1962, united the Presbytery of Deeside and the Presbytery of Alford under the name of Presbytery of Alford and Deeside. |
