The church of Kilrenny, which was rebuilt in 1806-1808, formerly belonged to the Abbey of Dryburgh (Roxburghshire) and held a dedication to St Ernan of Eileach Naomh. In 1641 Kilrenny was disjoined from the parish of Anstruther Easter. Kilrenny Kirk Session established a link with Cellardyke in 1988, and sits within the Presbytery of St Andrews. |
