The old church of Kemback, which was rebuilt in 1583 and again in 1814, was founded as a rectory by Bishop de Bernham in 1244 and in 1458 the church was gifted to the College of St Salvator. In 1970 Kemback established a link with Dairsie and in 1980 a further link followed with Strathkinness. The kirk session sat within the Presbytery of St Andrews, later of Cupar and, following the restructuring of the Presbyteries in 1976, it became part of the Presbytery of St Andrews once again. |
