There existed in the Quoad sacra parish of Keiss, which lies in the North East extremity of Wick, a Baptist Chapel dating from 1750 and in 1827 a parliamentary church was erected. Ministry at Keiss is recorded from 1827 in the person of Thomas Jolly. On the 4th March 1846 the parish of Keiss was disjoined from Wick and Canisbay but was re-linked to Canisbay 134 years later in 1980. The kirk is in the Presbytery of Caithness. |
